Findlay Market here in Cincinnati is a must for me, especially in the summer when local farmers have all their wonderful fresh produce for sale. We also buy our eggs from a local farmer and bread from a wonderful local baker who is usually sold out by 10 AM.
Last weekend the Market was mobbed even more than usual. I noticed several people taking pictures of the Historic Marker here. It may not be exactly on target for the immigration debate, but it reminds me that hate and fear of the other are not new American values.
I sincerely hope that we can learn from our past and embrace those who risk all to come here and join us in our dream much as the Germans did.
Findlay is amazing in it’s variety of cultures. A feast for eyes, ears and taste and Cincinnati would be poorer without it.
